Nate Frambach, professor at Wartburg Seminary gave the keynote speech. "Change is a reality, but since the mid-20th century, change has been massive and sudden in the U.S. and globally. No matter how hard we try, it seems as if we can't keep up with it." How does the church fit in to this dynamic? In this complex generation we are still called by God to "Go" and along with it, embrace risks. Everyone is longing for new heroes of the faith. . . perhaps we are the ones the world is looking for. We need new narratives of God's presence in the world today and a retelling of the old.
